Some Celtic fans have been reacting to the latest tweet that TalkSport host David Tanner recently put out.
Tanner’s tweet saw him talk about an interview with ex-SPFL CEO Roger Mitchell, who told him that UEFA has ‘signed-off’ the use of play-offs for leagues to decide how teams will finish their domestic seasons.
On seeing what he had to say, Celtic fans were left furious. They made it clear that they don’t like the idea and some even fumed at this.

Do you want a play-off to decide the Premiership winners?
That's a horrible idea
Sounds fair to me
“Agenda setting” from an ex SFA employee and whoever you are. Aye right Sparky!

Null and void can’t be done after 30 game season. Why not shorten next season so no split or don’t have the league cup next year at all. Play it to a finish – you can’t ask a team 13 points clear to play a play off

Would be like winning 13-0 in the playground then deciding ‘next goal’s the winner’!! Ludicrous

Could understand doing it where teams are level or close whether for titles, euro places or relegation but Celtic and Liverpool, really. Neither have a hope of being caught. Hopefully uefa decide to finish leagues whenever it’s safe to do so. Just shorten or cancel next season

No. You cant just change to rules 3/4 of the way through the season.

If they want to have a league playoff in Scotland or England, the league leaders would have to have a significant advantage to ensure “sporting integrity”. 3 or 4 goals at least. Can’t see it working.

What do we think?
Considering Celtic have a 13-point lead over Rangers at the top of table, they are bound to be enraged at the idea of proposals like this. The gap is surely convincing enough, especially considering Celtic have already beaten Rangers in two of their three meetings in all competitions so far this year and that they are yet to lose a single Premiership game in 2020.
This shows that the Hoops have been a superior force in the division and that they would deserve to win the Premiership title. A play-off could essentially be unfair for the Hoops, in that sense.
