Some Celtic fans have hailed Andres Iniesta after a post involving the former Barcelona man emerged on Twitter.
The Celtic Twitter account posted about Iniesta in the latest version of ‘They Played at Paradise‘ – a series of articles about the greatest players to ever have played at Parkhead. The post also carried a link to the article which talked about a time when Iniesta played at Parkhead during his time at Barcelona.
On seeing the tweet, many Celtic fans hailed Iniesta, with many praising the Barcelona legend.

Iniesta boasts an impressive record against Celtic, who he faced seven times throughout his career. All of his appearances against the Hoops came during his time at Barcelona, in which he won five, lost one and drew one game. He also scored two goals over the course of the fixtures, one coming in a 7-0 win back in the 2016-17 campaign of the Champions League, and another in a 2-1 victory in the 2012-13 Champions League (via Transfermarkt).
In his whole career, Iniesta won the FIFA World Cup once, also winning the European Championships with Spain twice. The Spaniard also won the Champions League four times, as well as from winning the La Liga nine times (via Transfermarkt).
This shows how prominent a player Iniesta was during his playing days. Celtic fans are right to hail him as one of the best to ever grace Parkhead as an opposition player.
