Some Celtic fans have been discussing a video involving Didier Agathe that went viral on social media recently.
Hoops-related page CelticLisboa recently posted a video of Agathe playing during his time at Parkhead. The footage was from a game against Hearts and had Agathe running past a defender and putting a cross in to grab an assist.
On watching this video, many Bhoys fans thought that Agathe was an underrated player. They hailed the pace he had on the ball.
really underrated player. his final ball wasnt always perfect, but he still set up so many goals. his speed was frightening. no coincidence that his best attacking work was in europe (ajax, stuttgart) where opponents didn’t know him well. surprisingly gifted defensively as well.

Would you have Agathe in the current Celtic team?
Yes, I will
No, Forrest is better
Agathe is the fastest player I’ve ever seen play in Scottish football

Lightening.
No right back has got behind a defense like him since— Declan (@Dechass) April 9, 2020
Agathe was a right-midfielder by trade and was at Parkhead from January 2001 until January 2006, when he left as a free agent. He had arrived at the club from Hibernian and later joined Aston Villa.
What do we think?
While the video does show how quick Agathe used to be back in the day, the fact that he won three Scottish Premiership titles at Celtic shows that he indeed was a valuable player.
As per CelticWiki, Agathe had made 110 appearances in the league for the Bhoys. It shows why the Celtic fans are gushing about him and he certainly seems to have deserved the praise he has received.
