A group of Celtic supporters have been discussing some retro Adidas shirt designs on Twitter after an image was shared on the social media platform by @Tam_Selleck. The club’s current kit manufacturer is New Balance, however, as of the 1st July 2020, Neil Lennon’s side will be turning out in Adidas gear.
The reigning champions have signed a lucrative five-year deal with the German sportswear giants and although the exact figures have not been disclosed, it’s understood to be the biggest kit sponsorship deal ever to be announced in Scottish sport.
Here is how some of the fans have responded to the designs. Some were delighted with them.

Whereas, others were less than impressed by what they had seen.
No to both.

The first one would be a lot nicer if they’d ditched the homage to the early 90s people’s kit and chosen colours that didn’t look like vomit.

Are you a fan of these proposed Adidas designs?
Yes
No
Post modernism ! Let’s see if adidas can invent their own iconic strip rather than always going backwards !!!!

What do we think?
It’s important to note that these are just concept designs but one thing is clear, opinion on their suitability is divided. The Bhoys are on the verge of securing their ninth consecutive league title and while new kit talk is perhaps best reserved until the summer, with football currently suspended due to the viral outbreak, new kits appear to be on the agenda.
