Many Birmingham City fans have been reacting with frustration to a recent tweet from the club’s official Twitter account which shared a link to a statement from the Blues’ official website announcing that the EFL will appeal “the decision of the independent disciplinary commission in March 2020 dismissing the misconduct charge” that they recently brought against the Blues.
The EFL had brought a charge against Birmingham City for allegedly breaching “an agreed business plan”, however, as per the BBC, the independent disciplinary commission which heard this case decided to clear the Blues of any wrongdoing.
In a recent update on this case, the EFL has since decided to appeal this decision. As a result, “a new commission” is now set to be appointed to hear the EFL’s appeal, according to the BBC.
Many Blues supporters have been angered by the EFL’s decision to appeal the verdict of their misconduct charge, with some even calling for the club to sue the EFL. Read the frustrated responses from some Blues supporters in response to their club’s recent post sharing this news in the tweets below.

? The EFL has notified the Club of its intention to appeal the decision of the Independent Disciplinary Commission in March 2020.
The Club’s position has not changed and we will now turn to defending the appeal.

When we win this case again we should sue the EFL for unfair treatment

Hope we not only win comfortably but hope we sue the EFL board members for every penny they own ????

If/when the appeal is thrown out, please look into suing the @EFL for their persistent victimisation over the past couple of seasons. It appears to be an open and shut case.

I agree Birmingham really need to fight this and then look to take further legal action otherwise the circus that is the EFL will never leave us alone!! #kro

Is it possible to have corporate harrassment and file a restraining order? @Greekbluenose
— Viva CB2 ? (@vivacb2) April 8, 2020
Has the club thought about taking the @EFL to court over now clear unbridled victimisation of one club?
They should also be taken by all the clubs for its inability to run a football competition properly!
Can we have mass resignations to form a new feeder to the PL?

Can we take legal action against the EFL for blatantly targeting the club? This seems like a vendetta now. Surely at this time the EFL and the world has more important things to worry about!?

I think the EFL should be placed under investigation as a wholly inadequate and suspect organisation. The old boys club needs to be exposed for what it is, corrupt to the core.

What do we think?
It may be understandable why some Blues supporters are feeling frustrated at the EFL’s decision to appeal the verdict of their recent misconduct charge. Birmingham City were docked nine points in the Championship back in March 2019 after being found guilty of breaching the EFL’s profitability and sustainability rules.
Considering this, it may have been a relief for many Blues fans to have seen the independent disciplinary commission dismiss this most recent misconduct charge. Though with that in mind, it may be understandable why many Birmingham supporters have been frustrated by the EFL’s decision to appeal this verdict.
