Some Wolves fans have been reacting on social media to a recent tweet that was posted by the club’s official Twitter account in support of World Wildlife Day.

The tweet from Wolves’ official club Twitter account read: “Imagine a world without wolves.” It also shared a link to an article on the club’s official website explaining the club’s move to remove the wolf from their club badge on Tuesday, in order to raise awareness for World Wildlife Day and the endangered Mexican wolf.

Their message, which showed the club badge with the wolf removed from the centre of it, caught the attention of some Wolves fans on social media. Some fans responded to the tweet commenting on how unusual the club’s badge appeared to be without the wolf, while other fans took the opportunity to support the reasoning behind the tweet by sharing support for World Wildlife Day.

This club campaign for World Wildlife Day may have succeeded in raising some awareness about the endangered Mexican wolf

While the Mexican wolf is still very much endangered, according to nywolf.org, their wild population has seen an increase of 17 individuals since 2017. The recent club campaign from Wolves may have successfully raised some awareness about the endangered animals.
