Rangers have had a pretty poor start to the calendar year, failing to win five of their 13 games in 2020. They have lost three games and drawn two, with one of the losses coming last weekend against Hearts in the Scottish Cup.
With the side still 12 points behind Celtic in the league with a game in hand, the Scottish Cup loss leaves their season’s hopes hanging on European glory. And while lifting the UEFA Europa League isn’t impossible, having teams such as Manchester United, Inter Milan and Sevilla still in the competition only makes things harder.
Needless to say, Gers fans have every right to be disappointed with their team right now.
This became evident on Monday when Rangers announced that their away match against St. Mirren had been selected for TV coverage. When the side posted this news on their Twitter, fans admitted that they don’t even care about watching. Others admit that, while they will be watching, they have limited expectations.

Aw good. We get to drop stupid points live on the telly. That’ll be brilliant. I’ve never seen that before.

What do we think?
It looks like Gers fans are ready to give up on this season and hit refresh heading into the 2020/21 season.
However, if they can manage to make it past Bayer Leverkusen in the UEFA Europa League Round of 16, perhaps they will be handed just a glimmer of hope.
