Fans of QPR have been reacting on social media to comment’s made by Dominic Ball, in which the 24-year-old reflects on his transfer to the club as well as his performances so far this season.
Ball, who arrived at QPR on a free transfer having left Rotherham last summer, has impressed since becoming a regular starter for the Hoops, having featured less frequently at the beginning of the season.
The defensive midfielder has started in each of QPR’s last seven fixtures, in which the club has recorded two wins, three draws and two losses, with Ball averaging an impressive 6.55 WhoScored match rating.
In an interview with the official club website, Ball spoke of his gratitude to the club for allowing him to grow as a player, stating: “Looking at it, the fact I came in on a free transfer meant the expectations around me have allowed me the opportunity to really work hard to prove people wrong.”
In reaction to his comments, fans of QPR have taken to Twitter, with many praising the £675k-rated midfielder for his performances this season, and some even suggesting that the former Northern Ireland Under-21 international should be made captain of the club next season.

Honestly I rate him so highly. Possibly the best CM we’ve had since Ale Faurlin that’s how far I’d go. The guys positioning is perfect, his tackling is class, his ball retention is great, the most consistent performer. Eze and BOS are our match winners but Dom Ball?

What do we think?
Dominic Ball’s importance to the side should not be understated and it shows fans have taken note of what he brings to the team.
The 24-year-old has played an influential part in QPR’s defensive improvements, contributing to the side’s two clean sheets in their current five-match unbeaten run.
However, QPR’s 61 goals conceded remains the second worse in the division and is certainly an area in which Mark Warburton will look to improve on over the summer.
