Fans of QPR have been reacting on social media following their side’s 2-2 draw against Birmingham City on Saturday.

QPR headed into the match in decent form, following a run of four games without defeat, and occupied 13th place in the Championship table.

Similarly, their opponents, Birmingham City, were also on an impressive run ahead of the game, with the Blues undefeated over their last nine Championship matches, sitting one place below and level on points with the Hoops in the league.

It perhaps should have been a likely outcome, then, that the two would remain unseparated come full-time, however, the fixture did not fail to entertain.

Scott Hogan, on loan at Birmingham from rivals Aston Villa, put the visitors ahead in the 24th minute, latching onto a Maxime Colin pass before calmly slotting home.

However, after the break, QPR turned the game on its head with two goals in four minutes, with Marc Pugh’s finish drawing the Hoops level, before some great interlinking play between Bright Osayi-Samuel and Ebere Eze saw Jordan Hugill’s near-post finish give QPR the lead.

As the game wore on it appeared as if all three points would remain in West London, however, Scott Hogan popped up with an 81st-minute header to share the spoils.

In reaction to the match, QPR fans took to social media, with many praising their side’s performance, although others were slightly disappointed by the fact their side failed to see the game out.

What do we think?

QPR were perhaps the better side throughout the encounter, having dominated large periods of the game – achieving 66% of overall match possession –  as well as testing Lee Camp in the Birmingham goal often – with 14 shots on goal and six on target.

However, a point sees them remain firmly in mid-table, 10 points above the relegation zone and nine below the play-offs, stability that will please Mark Warburton, and which he will undoubtedly look to build on next season.
