Fans of Nottingham Forest have been discussing on social media who they believe should be crowned as their Player of the Month.
In a month which saw Nottingham Forest defeat second-placed Leeds United 2-0, draw 2-2 at table-toppers West Brom and become only the second team to defeat Cardiff City in Wales this season, fans of the club have been discussing who has been their stand out performer over February’s fixtures.
According to WhoScored, Forest’s Man of the Match has twice been Matty Cash, with a match rating of 8.5 in Cardiff win and a 7.5 in the QPR draw, Ben Watson, also twice, with a 7.7 match rating in the 2-2 draw at West Brom and a 6.8 in the loss to Charlton, while both Joe Lolley and Tiago Silva have won the accolade once each, the former with an 8.2 in the 2-0 win over Leeds and the latter with a 7.8 in Forest’s 2-1 loss to Birmingham.
However, Forest fans have also been impressed with the contributions of goalkeeper Brice Samba, defender Yuri Ribeiro and midfielders Samba Sow and Ryan Yates, leading to a free-for-all on social media as to who should win the award.

Tough choice this month. So many excellent candidates as our fantastic team spirit has kept us right in the thick of the promotion battle. #NFFC

What do we think?
It would certainly seem like an injustice if anyone other than Matty Cash were to pick up the award, as the right-back has averaged a remarkable 7.46 WhoScored match rating over his five starts in February.
On top of this, the £5.4million-rated 22-year-old scored the crucial stoppage-time equaliser in Forest’s 2-2 draw at West Brom, demonstrating his importance in both attack as well as in defence for the Reds.
