Leeds United’s majority shareholder Andrea Radrizzani has told supporters the club will ‘work out something’ in regards to membership and season ticket renewals via his Twitter account. Many fans have shared their frustration regarding the situation after they received a reminder that their payments were due by the 27th March.
Here’s how some of the supporters have responded to the 45-year-old’s tweet.
Cheers radz. I’m sure you are very aware people took the option of finance to pay for there st and are now locked down . Is more a case of a club statement on the matter not just some random fan on FB ….
Thanks again for pulling us out the dark times radz— string of beeds ??? (@stringaz851) March 24, 2020

I need to renew my season ticket but am worried about 2 payments close together when we don’t know what’s happening. An announcement needs to be made ASAP

What do we think?
It’s clear from the above responses that these supporters were pleased to learn the club are considering taking action which could mean pushing the deadline back. English football has been suspended until at the earliest, 30 April. Therefore, it’s unclear as to when the 2020/21 season will kick-off.
As it stands, Leeds United sit at the top of the Championship and are looking to secure promotion back to the Premier League for the first time since they were relegated at the end of the 2003/04 season, but whether they get the chance to do so remains to be seen.
