With the EFL currently being suspended, the Yorkshire Evening Post’s Graham Smyth has shared an article via Twitter highlighting 14 former Leeds United trialists who the fans may not necessarily remember.
The list of players included the likes of Goran Sorloth, Nuno Santos and Faouzi Rouissi. Here’s how some of the club’s supporters have reacted to the post.
Will the Championship season resume as scheduled in April?
Yes
No
I hate to see what content is going to look like in 3 months time if no football ?

I certainly remember Nuno. In the days before internet everywhere and mobile phones, he had me emailing his brother every week when he first joined, letting him (& his family) know he was doing ok. I never could figure out why he didn’t just ring, but there must’ve been a reason.

As a young lad at the local school got a shirt signed when they used to train at Trinity college in Horsforth and had the 2 Israeli lads autographs on it ?

What do we think?
Whilst some of these fans embraced the alternative content and shared some personal anecdotes, others expressed their concern regarding what they’re going to be reading over the coming weeks. Leeds United currently sit at the top of the Championship and were closing in on a return to the Premier League for the first time since they were relegated in 2004.
Having won five of their last six fixtures, Marcelo Bielsa’s side have been in excellent form but it remains to be seen whether this enforced interval will disrupt their momentum or if indeed the season will be concluded at all.
