Some Celtic fans have been left to hail the performance of Nir Bitton following the recent win over St. Johnstone in the Scottish Cup.
Bitton started at centre-back at the weekend, playing alongside Kristoffer Ajer and Christopher Jullien. The Israeli took a lot of praise from multiple Hoops fans and they made their opinions very clear once the game ended in a 1-0 victory, thanks to a Ryan Christie goal.
Is Bitton the most underrated Celtic player?
He deserves that tag
I have my doubts
Big Bitton is a Rolls Royce of a player. Never let’s the Celtic down

He is a better player than Simunovic.

We had to battle. Sign of a good team. Nir Bitton coming in was absolutely outstanding considering the conditions still made the game look easy. A proper footballer. We’re Glasgow Celtic pic.twitter.com/EUX4dq4R2T

Nir Bitton is the most underrated footballer at Celtic. He’s a better centre half than Jozo and should be in that team ahead of him.

Bitton just looked so calm and composed in the defence, thought he was done at Celtic under Rodgers but he’s proving an important player to slot in when needed under lennon

Celtic had signed Bitton in the summer of 2013 from Ashdod for an undisclosed fee. He has now been at the club for over six years and has made 209 appearances in all competitions, scoring 12 times and picking up 14 assists.
What do we think?
Considering he has been at the club for over six years and has made 28 appearances in all competitions this season, Bitton is well-known to Hoops fans. They are bound to know what he can give to the team, so their praise for him is a sure sign of the player’s impressive performance.
