Was Chris Kavanagh right to send off Carlo Ancelotti following the full-time whistle?Yes, Ancelotti overstepped the markNo, it was definitely the wrong decision |
The sending off from Chris Kavanagh came after late drama in the tie with the Red Devils which saw the hosts have a goal disallowed by VAR (per BBC), which the 60-year-old Italian then argued with officials about (per BBC).
Supporters, though, continued to complain over the decision of the referee and provide support to Ancelotti following the former Real Madrid manager’s dismissal.
Ref should be sacked and should work in a circus

Ref bottled it as he knew he was wrong, lost control with a bar decision, officials should be embarrassed.

Sent off for doing exactly what Maguire, Fred, De Gea, Matic etc did all game…

We would have all reacted like that after that stupid VAR decision

What do we think?
As arguing with the officials to an extent that Ancelotti was is against the Football Association’s rules, Kavanagh was within his remit to send the Italian off (per The FA).
Though, tensions were high following the decision by VAR and it is completely understandable as to why Ancelotti and supporters alike were left frustrated.
