Emily Drakeley of Birmingham Fan TV recently made some comments on Love Sport Radio regarding Jude Bellingham’s future, which has attracted the attention of some Blues supporters on social media.

The sport-focused radio station shared Drakeley’s recent comments regarding the Birmingham City youngster’s future on social media via a tweet, which shares an audio clip of the Blues fan stating that Borussia Dortmund “would be the best place” for Birmingham’s 16-year-old “star-man” to go, should he leave St. Andrew’s.

German publication Sport Bild recently reported that Borussia Dortmund are set to bring the Birmingham player to Germany for what would be a reported club-record transfer fee of more than £30 million.

Some Blues supporters have been responding in agreement with Drakeley’s recent comments on Twitter. Read the reactions of some Blues supporters to the radio-broadcasted comments regarding Bellingham’s future in the tweets below.

What do we think?

As seen in some of the tweets above, some Blues supporters have been drawing a comparison between Bellingham and England international Jadon Sancho, in the wake of the German club’s reported interest in signing the 16-year-old Blues midfielder.

Sancho, who made the jump from Manchester City to Borussia Dortmund as a 17-year-old back in the summer of 2017, has become a key figure for the Bundesliga side during his tenure with the club. Sancho has made an impressive total of 28 goal contributions in 22 Bundesliga appearances for BVB this season.

It may be understandable for Bellingham to see a pathway to success with Borussia Dortmund, following Sancho’s impressive development in just under two full seasons with the German club. The Blues midfielder may attempt to follow in Sancho’s footsteps if the reports of Dortmund’s interest in the youngster are true.
