As Leeds United prepare to take on Huddersfield Town at Elland Road this weekend some of their supporters have taken issue with Danny Cowley’s comments in the build-up. The 41-year-old, who has been in charge of the Terriers since September 2019, claimed that his side are ‘massive underdogs’ ahead of the Yorkshire derby (via Adam Pope on Twitter).
When you consider that 26 points separate the two sides in the league, his remark seems a fair one but these Leeds supporters haven’t been impressed by what the former Lincoln City boss has had to say.
Do you believe Danny Cowley is trying to play mind games?
Yes
No
Bearing in mind the £45m his club has been handed in parachute payments this season, maybe he should be asking why they are “underdogs” and where all the money has gone? I realise this might upset Cowley’s sob story?

Excuses flying in, we have an International keeper banned, a striker injured, another out of form, Forshaw crocked for the season, a small squad boosted by U23’s blah blah blah

What do we think?
They may not be saying it out loud but Huddersfield Town will likely be feeling pretty good about themselves going into this fixture. They currently rank 6th in the Championship form table having won three of their last six league games which is rather impressive for a side for whom relegation this season remains a real possibility.
