Aston Villa fans have flocked over to Twitter to respond to recently posted footage of Anwar El Ghazi’s goal against Everton earlier in the season.
This comes after Villa fan Twitter account @ElliotAVFC shared a post on their page that included video footage of El Ghazi’s goal in Villa’s 2-0 win over Everton at Villa Park this season.
Has El Ghazi had a good season so far?
Yes
No
The page captioned the post claiming that the atmosphere in Villa Park during the match was “crazy” on the day.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Villa fans who were delighted to see this footage again.
Here’s a sample of Villa fans responding to the post:
Bringing this goal back. The atmosphere inside Villa Park was crazy and El Ghazi’s goal topped it all off! #AVFC https://t.co/6zdm8Aiq9g

Best atmosphere I’ve ever experienced at VP in 25yrs going. There was something in the air & it’s such a shame we’ve not been able to recreate that noise & feeling inside the ground again since.

Genuinely think one issue Villa have had is that Grealish has occupied LW, but El Ghazi is arguably much better on the left as well. Don’t think he’s as productive from the RW.

The match saw Villa pick up all three points thanks to goals from Wesley and El Ghazi back in August. The footage shows the Brazilian working the ball towards the Everton goal before passing to John McGinn who then played a pass into the path of El Ghazi, who then slotted past Jordan Pickford in the last minute of the match to secure the win for Dean Smith’s side. As this footage made the rounds on Twitter again, this gave these Villa fans the opportunity to reflect on the match.

What do we think?
Given that Villa have only won seven out of a possible 27 Premier League games so far this year, it comes as no surprise that the fans are eager to reflect on this win against Everton.
