Rangers dropped even more points in the league this week after failing to beat Kilmarnock. Killie managed to pull back two goals after Scott Arfield put the visitors ahead in the 32nd minute.
But, after the full-time whistle, there were many Rangers fans who questioned the officiating of referee John Beaton. They think he missed too many calls during the match that ultimately cost their side three points.
They don’t think Kilmarnock’s first goal should have counted and reckoned Alfredo Morelos deserved a penalty after being taken down in the box. They question why the refereeing standard in Scotland isn’t at the required level and blame Beaton for ‘blatant cheating’, as they call it.
I completely give up with Scottish referees, we have no chance

Their first goal shouldn’t have stood.
Burke should have been off for last man challenge.
Dicker should have been off for blatant dive and second yellow
Alfie should have had a pen
Alfie has goal disallowed for a “push” far less than what the penalty was not given #Cheated #SFA— Churchill (@Rangers_co_uk) February 12, 2020
All the sfa refs are incompetent end of the club need to do something about the blatant cheating that’s going on

Morelos using the exact same amount of contact that was used on him for the penalty claim.
Foul given against him but no penalty awarded. John Beaton is a disgrace.

The penalty on Morelos at 1-1 would have been soft until he disallowed the goal for the exact same thing. It’s no longer excusable as ‘honest mistakes’. John Beaton has made far too many of those for him to be labelled anything but a cheat.

Do you hold John Beaton accountable for Rangers' loss?
Yes - he should be punished.
No - we are to blame, not him.
What do we think?
Had another referee been appointed to this match, who knows if the scoreline would have been different? At the end of the day, Rangers have to ask themselves how they let the game slip and why they couldn’t put more goals past a Kilmarnock side who sit in the bottom half of the table.
