Aston Villa fans on Twitter have been reacting to Ritchie De Laet’s recent comments on the club.
This comes after Villa fan Twitter account @villareport shared a post on their page relaying quotes made by the full-back originally published by The Athletic where he appears to have a dig at former Villa boss Steve Bruce.
On his time at Villa Park, De Laet called Villa a “massive club” but that he could never get going during his period there.
The defender then claimed that Bruce was not his “cup of tea”, before adding that “the football was too similar to Tony Pulis, but at least Tony had a plan.”
Do you agree with Ritchie De Laet's comments?
Yes
No
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Villa fans who were quick to share their thoughts on this latest revelation from De Laet.

The 31-year-old joined Villa back in 2016 from Leicester City for a fee of £2.07 million. But after making just 14 appearances for the Birmingham club, the Belgian was sent out to Royal Antwerp on a free transfer in the previous summer window. Now that quotes have emerged from the defender claiming that Bruce didn’t have a plan when he was the manager at the club, this had opened the door for waves of Villa fans to react to the comments slating their former boss.

What do we think?
You have to respect the honesty shown by De Laet in expressing his feelings towards working under Bruce at Villa. But his words do feel slightly shady in his criticism.
