Supporters of West Ham United were left stunned following a report which stated that Barcelona have targeted the signing of former Hammers striker Lucas Perez.
According to AS, as cited by the Sun, the La Liga giants have an interest in signing the frontman, however, would have to fork out €25 million (£20.8m) to get him, which had fans in shock.

Don’t worry #westham will have included a substantial sell on clause

Should West Ham have kept hold of Lucas Perez instead of selling him?Yes, was a really silly mistakeNo, good move at the time |
The Irons secured the services of the striker for £4 million from Arsenal in 2018 (per BBC), however, shipped him out to Alaves for just over £2 million a season later (per Transfermarkt).
Since his arrival back in La Liga, the Spaniard has bagged nine goals and four assists in 22 outings (per Transfermarkt) leaving fans to rue his £2 million departure due to him being worth north of £20 million already.
That’s about as West Ham as it gets.

He never got a proper chance, always used as back up, needed a run of games but never got it, better than Haller!

He was not a bad striker. But that’s it. He is a pure striker. Ball in front of goal and he’ll put it in. Another one I’d have liked to see play with Haller

What do we think?
During his time with West Ham, the 31-year-old scored six goals in 18 appearances (per Transfermarkt), however, few would have expected him to be linked with Barcelona so soon after leaving.
Judging from the supporters’ responses, at least they can see the irony of selling a player for £2 million, who is then worth ten times that amount not even a full season later.
