Leeds United overcame Reading at Elland Road on Saturday to increase their lead over Fulham to five points. Marcelo Bielsa’s side found it difficult to break the Royals down but a goal eventually came through Pablo Hernandez after 57 minutes. The visitors almost equalised late on but were denied by Kiko Casilla after he saved from Liam Moore.
Midfielder Kalvin Phillips was forced off after just 37 minutes through injury and when he received some well-wishes from former England striker Ian Wright via social media, the 24-year-old shared an update on the injury.
Is Kalvin Phillips Leeds United's most important midfield player?
Yes
No
Thankfully, it doesn’t appear to be a serious problem and these supporters were relieved that seems to be the case.
Phew.

What do we think?
On average, Kalvin Phillips’ performance rating stands at 7.18/10 this season, according to WhoScored.com. He’s made 30 appearances for the Whites in the Championship during this campaign so far, highlighting his importance to the squad. Judging by the player’s update on social media we would guess that he won’t be out for any significant amount of time, which will come as a boost to the club who will be desperate to secure automatic promotion to the Premier League.
