A lot of Leeds United fans were shocked at one of Graham Smyth’s tweets about Jean-Kevin Augustin.
The Frenchman was getting his first minutes for the club in an Under-23s match with Sheffield Wednesday, and after he missed an early chance, the 22-year-old was brought down, and Smyth’s tweet about the incident sent panic racing through the veins of these Leeds fans.
However, he did later state that he was running it off.
Was it a good decision to play Augustin in the Under-23 match?
Yes, he got some much-needed minutes
No, no point risking an injury

He won’t be used to English football. This is just the kids as well. Quite worrying, he’s obviously a long long way off being up to speed yet!

What do we think?
Augustin was substituted at half time, but the club are adamant that this was planned, and Smyth later confirmed that he would train on Tuesday.
However, the fact that so many Whites supporters were panicking to hear he was down injured before he has even played a game for Leeds yet shows just how important many fans think Augustin will be to them.
The Frenchman was left out of the squad for Saturday’s defeat to Wigan Athletic, and these 45 minutes should help him get up to speed with the Championship.
It will be a major surprise if he is not even on the bench for Leeds’ next match with Nottingham Forest.
