Some Celtic fans have been talking about pundit Michael Stewart’s return to the BBC in the near future.
The BBC (via the Daily Record) recently said that they’ve lifted the temporary ban on Stewart after he ‘agreed to their guidelines’ and will go back into his punditry role for the organisation very soon.
Did Michael Stewart deserve the ban?
Never, he was being honest
He deserves it
When the Daily Record relayed this update on Twitter, many Hoops fans were discussing it. Many of them were happy that Stewart is back on punditry duties.
He should voice his honest opinion again. They’ll explode.

He just told the truth and exposed the lying bully that is James Traynor. He has been perfectly honest and is well respected amongst Scottish football fans

/rant/
verb
speak or shout at length in an angry, impassioned way.
I see the media is still running with the “rant” headline. Poor reporting from Record.

Stewart had been banned from the BBC earlier this year after he had been the subject of controversy when he lashed out at Rangers PR head Jim Traynor. That rant was deemed to have been in breach of BBC’s editorial conduct and he was shortly suspended.
What do we think?
If Stewart has agreed to accept the BBC’s rules once again, no one should have a problem with it. He had initially gone against the conduct rules and the fact that he’s accepting them again shows that he’s ready to be given a second chance.
