Cardiff City walked away with three goals and three points after beating Huddersfield in the Championship yesterday. The first goal was scored after 28 minutes when Josh Murphy scored his second Championship goal of the season.
But the finish of the goal did not reflect that of a forward who only has two league goals this season. Murphy confidently chipped the ball over Huddersfield goalkeeper Jonas Lossl with ease.
This might be because Murphy, who is valued at £9 million (as per Transfermarkt), is actually on an impressive goalscoring run if you include his FA Cup appearances. The winger scored one goal against Carlisle in the third-round replay and registered a brace in the fourth-round decider against Reading.
Including these cup goals, Murphy has actually scored four goals already in 2020. Fans praised the brilliance of Murphy’s effort in this match in particular, with one supporter hoping this opens the floodgates for the player.
Hopefully this is the start of the run of form he needs

Been fairly critical of Josh Murphy over the last 12 months but he was excellent in that first half Bacuna looks the only real danger for them.

Will Josh Murphy hit double digits with his goal-tally this season?
Yes
No
What do we think?
While the player’s start to the season was slow, only scoring one goal in the first half of the campaign, Murphy looks like he has hit his form. If he can continue to score at such a rate, it will be a huge boost to Neil Harris’ side as the season draws to a close.
