Birmingham City won their fourth game in a row last night, bringing their unbeaten run to nine in a row. Taking nine points from their last three league games was massive, raising the club up to 14th in the table, and 13 points off a relegation spot.
The 1-0 win against Barnsley came courtesy of a Scott Hogan goal. He has now scored a goal in each of Birmingham’s last three league games. He has only scored five goals this season from 19 appearances.
The sudden upswing in form from the centre-forward can only be a positive to Pep Clotet’s side, whose form also appears to be on the rise.
However, Hogan is currently only on loan to Birmingham City at the moment. He is still owned by Aston Villa. Many Blues fans think he should make the permanent jump and switch allegiances.

Hopefully, for Clotet and the Blues supporters, Hogan continues to stretch out this goal scoring form. If he can, who knows where Birmingham could finish in the league come the end of the season. If he stays permanently, they could even make a convincing bid for promotion next year.
