Supporters of Everton have fumed over a transfer report on one of the club’s on-loan players, Yannick Bolasie, and a potential move to Sporting CP.
According to Record, as cited by Sport Witness, the Portuguese outfit wanting to purchase the Democratic Republic of the Congo international is in doubt (via The Gwladys Street), which had Everton fans furious.
Sporting president Frederico Varandas says a decision on wether they’ll sign Bolasie permanently or not has already been made. Bolasie had a strong start to the season but has dipped in form leaving his future at the club in doubt. (Source: Record) #EFC pic.twitter.com/uYwKbUiZ6a

So he’s back on our wage bill next season then. Brilliant

The 1st season with us was ok but after he got injured he lost all concept of having ‘an end product’.
When he came back he’d try to beat the same player over and over again rather than banging the ball into the box.
Such a frustrating player.

Too much dead wood on our books, we need a massive clear out

Was it a mistake to pay £25 million to bring Yannick Bolasie to Everton?Yes, it has proved to be a terrible moveNo, at the time it was a very good deal |
Bolasie joined the Liga NOS outfit over the summer on a season-long loan deal from Merseyside (per BBC) and has since scored two and assisted four over 22 games in all competitions while on loan (per Transfermarkt).
The 30-year-old signed at Goodison Park in 2016 in a move from Crystal Palace for a whopping £25 million (per BBC), however, fans were keen for the wide man to be shipped out.
How long is left on his contract?

One fan even suggested that Romelu Lukaku and him had a great partnership. Interestingly, perhaps that fan’s statement could be down to the fact that the pair of them reportedly spoke to each other in some kind of ‘top secret’ language while playing together.
Hopefully he can stay at Sporting or go to another team to play on a weekly basis, he was so good when Lukaku and him had a great partnership, sadly those days are gone!

What do we think?
While at Everton, Bolasie never seemed to hit the ground running and managed only two goals and four assists in 32 appearances for Everton (as per Transfermarkt).
Now, only valued at £5.4 million (as per Transfermarkt), it seems unlikely that the Toffees will be able to recoup anywhere near what they paid the Eagles to secure his arrival.
