In the closing stages of the transfer window, Rangers confirmed the news of Eduardo Herrera’s exit to Club Puebla. The striker joined Rangers in the summer of 2017, but it’s safe to say his time with the club hasn’t been as successful as he would have first hoped. Multiple loan moves has seen the player spend a lot of time abroad, as he only played 24 games for the Gers, scoring two goals.
Despite this, there are clearly no hard feelings between the player and the fans. After the striker’s move was confirmed by Rangers, he thanked the fans and admitted he will always have fond memories of Ibrox. The supporters applauded his effort. They admit that, while it didn’t work out, he will always be considered a Rangers player. One fan even admitted that Herrera could be the kind of striker needed at this very moment, ironically.

Sad they never gave you a proper chance Big Guy. If they gave up on Barisic so quick we’d never have known how good he’d become. Right now we could do with a tall striker since we are limping balls forward to Defoe who is tiny. I wish you all the best. Once a ger always a ger

Do you think Herrera should have been given more chances at Rangers?
Yes
No
What do we think?
It is clear that both parties see this move as a positive. It was evident that the player had no future at Ibrox and it was about time he moved away. At least he can walk away from the club with a feeling of hopefulness as he takes the next step in his career.
