In January many teams will be trying to bring in new first-team players who are ready to make an immediate impact on their club’s chances of meeting their season objectives. Rangers, on the other hand, have focused their attention on youth acquisition.
According to reliable Rangers source Four Lads Had a Dream, Kyle Semple has joined Rangers from Motherwell. Their tweet indicates that Semple is a U16 player playing at the U18 level. When fans read this news, they were thrilled. They think that the club’s investment in youth is a great way to plan for the future. They believe it will help Rangers stay financially stable while still allowing them to compete for championships.

Hopefully something we do more. Start acquiring the best of youth and eventually get a wee conveyor belt coming out the hummel training centre

Speeding on in the right direction, investing in youth could save us millions in 3/4 years time.
Would love to see a whole generation of youth come through and achieve something together— gordy-bolingoli (@weepaljoe_) January 7, 2020
Would you rather see Rangers spend on youth or the first-team?
First-Team
Youth
Another fan used Sir Alex Ferguson as an example of a manager who successfully brought youth through the ranks.
Youths are the way forward . Give them a proper platform proper support and they surprise you everytime . Just ask Sir Alex

What do we think?
The signing of Semple could take a few years to produce any return on investment. If he turns into the player that these fans think he will, it would be a brilliant bit of business for the club and potentially solve what could be a costly issue in the future.
