At the beginning of December, Rangers fans may have been forgiven for thinking that their season was showing signs of unravelling. They drew with Aberdeen to drop behind in the league, lost in the Scottish League Cup Final to their rivals and drew their last UEFA Europa League group stage match to finish second in their group after having an opportunity to go through first.
The rest of the month would be a huge test to see how the Gers responded. And respond they did. Since those three back-to-back-to-back games without a win, Rangers have won four in a row (WhoScored.com). The most recent win was against Celtic in the league. Going undefeated in the league in December, recording 16 points from a possible 18, earned Steven Gerrard the award of Manager of the Month. Fans thought this was more than well deserved.

Will Steven Gerrard win Manager of the Year this season?
Yes
No
When one fan joked that someone had to travel all the way to Dubai in order to hand the manager the award for the photo, another joked that they probably gave it to him before the month even started to save themselves some time.
He was already given it before the start of December, to take with him.

What do we think?
If Steven Gerrard can continue to drive his team, they could very well win their 55th league title at the end of the season. If he does, he could be awarded the Manager of the Year award instead.
