With the January transfer window up and running, Rangers will be looking to add a few players to their squad in an attempt to push forward in their hunt for a 55th league title. They are currently second in the league, but only two points off top with a game in hand. With the goal differential also being equal, winning that game in hand should put them at the top of the league (Sky Sports).
The first rumour for this window is the arrival of Egyptian forward Mostafa Mohamed. The player currently plays for Zamalek and has scored six goals in 15 appearances this season (transfermarkt.co.uk). According to reports in Africa (as per Daily Record), Mohamed has put in a transfer request in an attempt to force a move to Rangers (as relayed on Twitter by Rangers Culture) after it was claimed the Gers made a £500,000 offer to land him on loan.
When they heard the news, fans were eager for the transfer to happen. They have seen some of the player’s highlights and think he would be a brilliant asset to the team.
