Spurs fans were shocked to hear that both Manchester City and Manchester United could make a move for Harry Winks during the summer.
According to David Ornstein, both Manchester clubs are keen on a move for the English midfielder but may wait until the summer until making an approach. The 23-year-old has struggled so far under Jose Mourinho; making a handful of starts and rarely earning a 7.0 rating for his performances.
Winks is a product of the youth academy at Spurs and has gone on to make 122 appearances for the North London club; scoring two goals. The midfielder recently scored his first goal for England in a win against Kosovo but hasn’t been able to match his club performances with his international displays; averaging just a 6.52 rating so far this season.

It would be a mistake to sell him

Pep rates him very highly good passer of the ball and very under rated plus he’s classed as a home grown player absolute no brainer to have him in tour squad just hope Jose feels the same way.

I can see why city want him. Nifty little passer. He needs to start for us

It’s a shame. Very talented youngster but it’s not Mourinho’s kind of player. Obviously any club that wants him will have to pay quite a bit but it’s a shame. Was a big fan of winks

Would be a huge loss one of the best players we’ve got just needs better quality around him to really shine

Is this a Joke??
— Tim Knight (@timgknight) January 6, 2020
Can’t see this being likely at all, would be criminal if we allowed him to leave. Form hasn’t been as good this season but a player with a big future for us

These Spurs fans are clearly worried that they could lose Winks in the summer window, with a lot of fans rating the 23-year-old quite highly.
What do we think?
Winks is young and English which would mean that Spurs could surely demand a significant fee for the midfielder if the Manchester clubs do approach them in the summer. He is currently valued at £36 million by transfermarkt which is the sort of money Mourinho could bring a top midfielder in for and with Winks struggling to impress under the new boss, it would not be a surprise to see him leave.
