A lot of Rangers fans are buzzing to hear that their club have agreed a deal with Genk for the transfer of Ianis Hagi.

Hagi is the son of former Romania legend Gheorghe and will arrive at Ibrox with a big reputation.

Certainly, this signing has gone down brilliantly with many Rangers supporters.

What do we think?

Hagi was very impressive in the European Under-21 Championship as he scored two goals and provided an assist for Romania.

This season he has made 19 appearances for Genk in which he has scored five goals and provided four assists and has achieved an average rating of 6.64 from WhoScored.

The Gers needed some reinforcements after a bit of a wobble in the league last week.

Steven Gerrard’s side were beaten by Hearts to leave them five points adrift of Celtic with a game in hand.

Hagi should provide Gerrard with more attacking options so they can continue their title charge.
