Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react to the latest news surrounding Pedro Chirivella.
This comes after football journalist @DominicKing_DM shared a post on his official page revealing that Liverpool are “prepared to offer Pedro Chirivella a contract extension” after progressing as a player.
Does Pedro Chirivella deserve a contract extension?
Yes
No
This post then gathered a number of replies from Liverpool fans who were pleased with this latest update.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans discussing Chirivella:
He seems to have progressed fairly well, feels like he’s been around forever but he’s still only 23, could be a late bloomer

Hope he stays, we’ll be paying for his attitude and desire. Hopefully it’ll be enough.

He’s able to pass the ball out of tight space. And he’s physically stronger.

The Spanish midfielder played 90 minutes of Liverpool’s 1-0 win against Merseyside rivals Everton in the third round of the FA Cup. Now that news of a potential contract extension for Chirivella has emerged, some Liverpool fans think his performance in Sunday’s win was enough to give the player the contract.
Had a cracking game yesterday, definitely one for the future

Like a new signing

After yesterday’s performance I suspect his value had increased. Understandably the club want to protect that.

He certainly played well last night, one of the stand out players against Everton

What do we think?
It’s great to see the Liverpool fans get behind Chirivella as he aims to become an important player at Anfield. At 23-years-old, a player of that age should be getting first-team football. Sunday’s Anfield win was a good opportunity to show Jurgen Klopp and the Liverpool fans that he is ready to become a first-team player, but there’s plenty of other players already occupying the middle of midfield, including Jordan Henderson and Georginio Wijnaldum, so it will be difficult for him to force his way in.
