With Harry Kane injured Tottenham Hotspur could be in the market for a centre-forward this month. The England international suffered the hamstring injury on New Years Day and Jose Mourinho has since confirmed it’s a serious problem, although the club have remained tight-lipped regarding the grade of the tear.
According to 90min, Spurs have revived their interest in Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic in the hope that he can replace Kane until he’s ready to return to action and it appears its a move that would go down well with the clubs supporters after Ricky Sacks relayed the information to his followers.

Wow… I’ve been saying this for awhile.

Mitrovic is an animal and exactly what spurs need defenders hate playing against him would be a great addition to the team and not just as a back up to kane but to have kane playing off him

I like Mitrovic

What do we think?
Mitrovic is currently the leading goalscorer in the Championship having scored 18 league goals so far this season. Formerly of Newcastle United, the Serbian international has plenty of past Premier League experience but he found it rather difficult to get going, having netted 10 in his 40 top-flight (TransferMarkt).
At Fulham, it seems the striker has finally found a home as he has 41 goals in 81 appearances across all competitions, but with the Cottagers currently occupying a play-off position, it remains to be seen whether they would be willing to part ways with the 25-year-old mid-season.
Spurs’ decision regarding whether or not to make a move for Mitrovic, or any other striker, will be dependant on the severity of Kane’s injury, which for the time being remains unclear
