Manchester City star Bernardo Silva has found things difficult this season. The controversy that surrounded his social media post earlier in the campaign which saw him banned for a game and receive a £50,000 fine, coupled with his struggles to replicate the incredible form he showed last season, have led to him receiving untold criticism from some sections of the club’s support.
However, following the club’s victory over Port Vale at the weekend in which he featured, those who follow the Portuguese star on social media were pleased to see him with a smile on his face.

But it appears the celebration Bernardo Silva and Oleksandr Zinchenko are pictured doing is one associated with the France and Paris Saint Germain star Kylian Mbappe and it has fuelled speculation that the Cityzen’s could be looking to bring the 21-year-old to the Premier League.

What do we think?
It’s great to see two team-mates sharing a joke and a laugh after a victory, but to suggest the photo posted has a hidden meaning seems a little far-fetched. Understandably, the Man City faithful would love to see Kylian Mbappe arrive but this is in no way an indication that the Frenchman is on his way to Manchester.
In regards to Bernardo Silva, he was visibly affected by the backlash of his tweet last year and it’s great to see the smile that became so synonymous with the 25-year-old back on his face.
