Liverpool fans have been sharing their frustrations on Twitter with the latest referee appointment ahead of their clash against Tottenham.
This comes after Liverpool fan Twitter account @TheKopiteOFF shared a post on their page revealing that Martin Atkinson will officiate the weekend clash between Liverpool and Jose Mourinho’s Spurs.

Atkinson was the referee in the only Premier League game Liverpool have dropped points in so far this season. He was in charge of Liverpool’s 1-1 draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford back in October. Atkinson seemingly failed to give a foul for the visitors in the build-up to United’s opening goal.
Now that news has emerged that he is set to take over Liverpool’s showdown against Tottenham, some Reds fans think more points will be dropped due to Atkinson.

What do we think?
It’s understandable why some Liverpool fans don’t like Atkinson, but to assume their team will lose at the weekend because of the referee may be a little over the top.
If they player to their ability then goals should come naturally for Liverpool, but a couple of dodgy decisions could definitely throw a spanner in the works.
