Aston Villa fans have been calling on Twitter for Christian Benteke to make a return to Villa Park this month.
This comes after Villa news Twitter account @AVFC_News shared a post on their official page asking their followers if they would like to see the former Villa man make a return to Birmingham after Crystal Palace reportedly (as per Telegraph) told the Villans that they are only interested in selling the striker at this stage of January.

The striker made 101 appearances for the Birmingham club during his time there, scoring 49 goals and picking up 12 assists along the way (per TransferMarkt). Now at current club Crystal Palace, the Belgian has yet to register a goal or assist so far this season (per TransferMarkt).
Despite a poor record so far this season, some Villa fans still want to see Benteke return to the club in January.

What do we think?
Benteke, who is valued at £11.7 million (as per Transfermarkt), certainly left an impact at Villa during his time at the club. Now that he has struggled to score goals at Palace this season, some Villa fans think now would be a good time for Benteke to return and revive his season under Dean Smith.
Although, signing a player with such a poor goal-scoring record is arguably a big risk.
