This weekend, Sheffield United took on AFC Fylde in the FA Cup. The club managed to win the game 2-1 thanks to goals from Callum Robinson and Leon Clarke in the eighth and 60th minute. An AFC Fylde goal in the 78th minute made things interesting, however, as the game went into its final minutes.
FC Fylde could have had another goal if not for a brilliant Mo Besic tackle. Sheffield United’s official Twitter account posted a highlight of the player making the last-ditch tackle to deny Nick Haughton, who was closing in on the Sheffield United goal. Fans applauded the effort. One fan says he was the best player on the day, while another thinks he is better than John Lundstram.

Is Mo Besic better than John Lundstram?
Yes
No
Another fan applauded Haughton. He doesn’t think many players would have accepted that as a fair tackle and would have instead embellished the challenge to win a penalty.
If he’d tackled a Premier League Player like that 100% he would be rolling about like he just been shot. Fair play to the Flyde player..??

What do we think?
At the end of the day, the tackle could be the difference maker between Sheffield United advancing to the next round of the FA Cup or not. Chris Wilder will be thrilled with his player’s performance as well, and could be convinced to give him the start against West Ham, despite starting on the bench against Liverpool.
