These Leeds United fans discuss Phil Hay’s latest comment about the possibility of Southampton’s Che Adams joining in January.
When asked about any updates on Adams, Hay stated: “He wants to come. As far as I can see, all down to whether [Ralph] Hasenhuttl will let him go.”
Adams has struggled in the Premier League so far this season, playing 15 times for Southampton and failing to score in all of the outings he’s featured in.
Here’s what the Leeds fans had to say about Hay’s latest Adams comment:

Weve been here ourselves. Once a player wants to leave they usually do. Mainly because nobody wants to keep a player that doesn’t want to be there. The manager can state all day long that he wants him to stay but if the player hasn’t settled & wants out the club will prob let him

Stinks of Dan James.

Is Che Adams going to join in January?
Yes
No
The only goal contribution Adams has had in the league this season is an assist, that’s surely not the type of form that these Leeds fans want?
The comments from the Peacocks fans are pretty mixed, with some taking the comment as a positive and others hinting that the Whites should stop the chase.
How long do we wait though. Seems like Adams has to force the move then

well thats a good start him actually wanting to come because a lot said he wouldnt

The fact that he wants to come could be huge
— Ron (@ronaallleeds) January 10, 2020
Didn’t he say he doesn’t want to let him go unless he gets someone else in that position as he doesn’t have much to choose from as it is?

What Do We Think?
It would make sense for Adams to join Leeds, even if it was on a loan deal. The 23-year-old might be able to press the restart button and get his career back on track, as failing to score in 15 Premier League games isn’t a good look at all.
