Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts on Ian Wright’s latest assessment on the club.
This comes after the Leeds news Twitter account @LeedsUnitedYEP shared a post on their official page that included an article from the Yorkshire Evening Post relaying quotes made by Wright on Radio 5 Live saying that the Leeds fans “need to stop being so toxic” towards their team.
Are the Leeds fans being too negative at the moment?
Yes
No
This post then led to a lot of Leeds fans replying to the post with their thoughts on the situation.
Here’s a sample of Leeds fans reacting to Wright’s comments:
He’s right, toxicity doesn’t help anything. Ever.

Yes, confidence is vital in down times and while fans are entitled in their opinion if it goes too far (as it has recently) it will hurt the team

Keep your nose out of LU business.

He’s right. I’ve left a few Leeds FB groups and forums because I can’t take the negativity anymore. We should live by our mantra, Marching On Together, whether we win, lose or draw, 18 games to go. It’s gonna be a bumpy ride but keep the faith.

This all stems from the poor run of form Leeds have been on recently. Bielsa’s side have yet to win a match this month in all competitions, with their last win coming back in December (per Transfermarkt).
Now that Wright has suggested the Leeds fans need to stop criticising the team so much and get behind them instead, a lot of fans have been sharing their thoughts on the situation on Twitter.
Completely accurate. Just difficult to be any other way when you can see nothing changing ?????

Bang on

Ian Wright doesn’t know anything about Leeds. He needs to shut it.

Absolutely spot on.

What do we think?
The best way for Leeds to get their season back on track is by knowing that the fans are still behind them and supporting them. Indeed, if this bad run of form continues, it will be hard for Leeds fans to hold their tongues.
