A lot of Leeds United fans reacted to the news that Che Adams started against Huddersfield in the FA Cup with Leeds said to be very interested in taking him to Elland Road for the remainder of the season.
Adams, who is valued at £10.8m by Transfermarkt, played 90 minutes of the Saints’ 2-0 win over the Terriers, but he still could not open his account for Southampton.
Will Leeds sign Adams?
Yes
No
This latest goalless match for the 23-year-old made it 17 games without a goal.
However, because he started for Southampton, some Leeds fans think that their club will not sign Adams.

He’s is not coming to Elland Road this month. That is the realist view. I would love to be wrong, I really would

Was never a realistic option

No way is this ever gonna happen

Other Whites supporters, though, believe that the fact Adams started for Southampton doesn’t mean anything.
Fringe player who Southampton are willing to sell starts in “Shop Window” game? Shocker
— Christopher (@ChrisMozzi) January 4, 2020
Doesn’t mean he ain’t coming. They aren’t going to get rid of him without a replacement they haven’t ruled him out going completely have they? I think we will get him personally

What do we think?
Ralph Hasenhuttl dismissed any possibility of Adams leaving earlier last week, and the fact that he started in the FA Cup would suggest that he will be remaining at St Mary’s.
However, if something were to change for Southampton in the transfer market, then Adams might become available.
Last season he scored 22 goals for Birmingham City, so it is easy to see why the Whites want him to replace Eddie Nketiah.
However, at the moment, it looks as if Adams will not be moving to Leeds.
