A lot of Leeds United fans have responded to Phil Hay’s latest piece for The Athletic.
Hay has focused on the sheer number of replica shirts that Leeds have sold this season, and he claims that their number of 110,000 shirts sold this season comfortably beats a lot of Premier League teams.
Are you surprised by these figures for Leeds?
Yes
No
Hay, therefore, thinks that it is no surprise to see the likes of Adidas taking a great interest in becoming the Whites’ next kit manufacturer.
A report was released earlier in the month that claimed that the German sports company had agreed a deal to produce Leeds’ kits next season and looking at their shirt sales, it is no surprise to see why Adidas wanted to do a deal.
Certainly, these Leeds fans are not surprised at this news.
Leeds United have sold more than 110,000 shirts this season, a figure which comfortably outstrips most Premier League clubs.
It’s no surprise that the likes of Adidas are on the scene with the club’s kit deal up for renewal.

What do we think?
David Coverdale revealed that Adidas would be producing Leeds’ kit for next season, and it should be a great deal for both the Whites and Adidas.
Leeds have a huge and passionate fan base, and it is no surprise to see them out-selling a lot of Premier League clubs for shirt sales.
It would be great to have such a good fan base back in the Premier League with their shiny new Adidas shirts.
