A lot of Leeds United fans have responded to an article in the Athletic about Ben White.
It seems that Brighton and Hove Albion see the 22-year-old as a big part of their future, which could be a big blow for the Whites.
If Leeds get promoted would White want to stay?
Yes, he is loved at Elland Road
No, he will have other clubs after him
White has played every match for Marcelo Bielsa’s team this season, and he has emerged as one of the Championship’s best defenders.
However, it looks like Leeds will have a battle if they want to keep him for next season.
It is not only the Seagulls who want White next season. Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea have all had a look at the 22-year-old, and it will be interesting to see what happens to White next season.
However, this article has not gone down well with these Leeds fans who feel that White will either stay or be taken from them.
From our Brighton writer @AndyNaylorBHAFC on where Albion see Ben White fitting in further down the line. In short, it sounds like he's very much part of the plans:https://t.co/f8L0dgadAo

This is the problem with loan players Ben White comes to us virtually unheard of with no buy clause after his loan we have done Brighton’s job for them turned his from a £1m player into a £20m player thats the risk you take

I would love to see Ben White as a permanent Leeds player BUT if a deal can’t be done, he is not the only top quality centre back on the planet. Leeds in the prem with cash to spend and a manager like Bielsa will attract the right sort of players. One step at a time.

Hope we break the bank if we get promotion. He’s worth 30m

I can’t blame them he is a great young player with a bright future ahead of him

Out of contract summer 2022 as far as I’ve read?
The lad is a quality player at Champs level but yet to prove himself in the Prem. I’d love to see him stay so we can hope he’ll push for a transfer if we go up?— Darren John Young (@DarrenJohnYoung) January 28, 2020
Of course they will say that Phil as they want as much as they can get out of us if we get promoted,Ben wants to stay at leeds in prem,we want him to stay so just about the price

He’s ours now Phil regardless of what Brighton think…he’s party of the family and once you are part of the #LUFC family that’s that!

Ben White is his own man, I’m sure if we get promoted he would rather be here than Brighton.. It’s the big clubs we will be fighting against if they’re interested.

They didn’t value him before and now when he played under proper manager they out of a sudden see him in the team. Embarassing.

What do we think?
White, who is valued at £2.25m by Transfermarkt, has an average rating of 7.12 this season and has also averaged 2.5 interceptions and 1.8 tackles per game.
Bielsa has also lavished praise on the defender; however, next season, it could be unlikely that White will be back at Elland Road even if Leeds are promoted.
