Some Celtic fans have made it clear that they want the club to stay away from the chase of Brazilian defender Fabricio Bruno in the ongoing January transfer window.
The latest reports from Globo Esporte (via The Daily Record) about the situation of the central defender say that Bruno has been released from his Cruzeiro contract recently. The player had taken legal action because of unpaid wages, trying to walk away from the club. Between this, a transfer to Red Bull Bragantino fell through. While Cruzeiro did face a $4million (£3m) lawsuit, but Bruno has now been released from his current contract.
Celtic fans: Do you want to stay away from Bruno?
Walk away from him!
Not a bad player
Many Hoops fans paid heed to this news and sense some trouble about the player. A Celtic podcast called 20 Minute Tims Pod relayed the news and Hoops fans are urging the club to stay away from the defender’s pursuit.

As soon as agents mention the ‘part ownership’ thing, any sensible person/club should walk away.

Not the kind of character Celtic players should have imo.

In Celtic’s 4-2-3-1 shape under Neil Lennon, Kristoffer Ajer and Christopher Jullien have the regular options at centre-back. Jullien has made 31 appearances in all competitions, scoring four times. As for Ajer, he has made 36 appearances in all competitions and has missed only two games in the whole season.
As for Bruno, he wasn’t exactly a regular for Cruzeiro in the previous season of the Brazilian league. He made 22 appearances in all competitions for the club, picking up three yellow cards. Out of all the games that he had played in the league, he started every single one of them.
In the 2018 edition of the Brazilian league, Bruno was loaned out to Chapecoense. He made nine appearances in all competitions for them, with seven of them coming in the league.
What do we think?
There seems to be trouble brewing in the situation surrounding Bruno. And that should not be a promising sight for any of the clubs that are after him. Keeping that mind, the Hoops should avoid the move and stay away.
