Some Celtic fans have reacted to the latest transfer update about Jonathan Afolabi in the ongoing January transfer window.
The club has now confirmed that Afolabi has left the Parkhead-based outfit to join Dunfermline on a loan deal till the end of the season. This comes after Jack Hendry had joined A-League outfit Melbourne City, while Conor Hazard has also left the club on a loan deal to join Dundee till the end of the season.
Is it a good move for Afolabi?
He needs that move!
Should've sold him
The Hoops’ Twitter account posted Afolabi’s move’s confirmation and the Celtic fans are happy about the move. They feel it will do the young striker a lot of good.
Good move for the lad.

Decent wee signing there I’d say, not seen much but looks decent. Young and hungry.

Celtic had signed Afolabi in the summer of 2019 from Southampton, joining the club for free and signing a three-year deal at Parkhead.
Since joining the club though, Afolabi hadn’t made a single first-team appearance for Celtic. Not just that, but the young striker has never been on the bench under Neil Lennon so far this season.
For the Saints Under-23s side last season, Afolabi had made 14 appearances in the Premier League 2. He scored four goals, racking up two assists for the side.
In all competitions in the 2017-18 season, Afolabi had scored eight goals and got four assists in 28 appearances for the side.
What do we think?
Afolabi needed the loan move, considering his development was stagnating while being at the club. He needs first-team football to improve and Dunfermline could possibly offer him that more than Celtic would.
