Some Celtic fans are of the opinion that star striker Leigh Griffiths is in desperate need to seek a move away from the club in the ongoing January transfer window.
The Hoops have agreed to let go of Lewis Morgan, who is now in the Major League Soccer with the David Beckham-owned Inter Miami. The club has made its first signing of the winter in the form of Polish striker Patryk Klimala, who was announced as a Bhoy yesterday.
Celtic fans: Should Griffiths leave in January?
He can still do a job
He's finished and deserves to go
A debate on Twitter broke out about another one of the club’s strikers – Griffiths. A page called Celtic Gossip posted about it and the fans feel that Griffiths should leave the club this month.
Send him back home to Easter Road, there’ll always be a place for him here, it’s where his heart is.

Loaned out to an spl team would be perfect. Plays every week and improves that team. Said it earlier, look what it did for Ajer and Christie. But if Bayo gets loaned out as well, now only left with two strikers #CelticFamily

6 months loan to hibs would be great for him, get him back scoring goals again and get the confidence up.

As much as I hate it,
I have to agree. Give him the second half of the season as a number 1 striker somewhere and get him back in next season when french eddy goes— Thomas Bowman (@Thommybhoy21) January 14, 2020
So far this season, French forward Odsonne Edouard has been the club’s first-choice striker. The former Paris Saint-Germain man has made 31 appearances in all competitions, scoring 16 times and racking up 15 assists.
As for Griffiths, the former Wolves man has made 18 appearances in all competitions for the Hoops but he has played only 524 minutes of first-team football for the side. He has found the back of the net three times so far in the campaign.
He did sustain a hamstring injury early on in the season and has failed to score a single goal since returning to action.
What do we think?
If Klimala had not been signed, it may have pointed to Griffiths rising up the pecking order of the side. But since the Pole has come in and Morgan has gone out, it shows that Griffiths is probably at the same level in the pecking order. And, perhaps because of that, he needs a loan move away from the club to get some regular first-team football.
