Spurs fans were delighted to hear that the club are being linked with a move for OGC Nice midfielder Wylan Cyprien, but will face competition from Newcastle United for his signature.
According to the Daily Mail, the midfielder has attracted a lot of attention from the North London club, with the French side expected to demand around £20 million for the 24-year-old.
Cyprien has impressed for Patrick Vieira’s side so far this season; averaging an impressive 7.06 rating for the Ligue 1 club; who are currently 11th in the division.
Cyprien has shown an excellent ability to score goals in recent seasons; with the midfielder having scored 22 goals in his first 105 appearances for the French side. Eight of those goals have come this season, with the 24-year-old enjoying a fruitful campaign, so it is no surprise to see Premier League clubs beginning to take an interest.
Who is more likely to sign Cyprien?

These Spurs fans are clearly hopeful that the club will sign Cyprien during this month’s window.
What do we think?
Cyprien could be a replacement for both Moussa Sissoko, who was ruled out until April with a knee injury and Christian Eriksen, who looks likely to join Inter Milan either in January or in the summer when his contract expires. For just £20 million, the French midfielder could prove to be a bargain if Mourinho can convince him to make the move to North London this month.
