Aston Villa fans have been discussing Henri Lansbury’s role at the club on Twitter.
This comes after Villa fan Twitter account @VillaViews_ shared a post on their page asking their followers what Lansbury does for the team.
Is Henri Lansbury good enough to play for Villa?
Yes
No
This post then gathered many replies from Villa fans who were eager to share their opinions on the midfielder.

Unfortunately he’s a championship player at best.

He’s a show pony
Offers nothing to the team

Lansbury played 90 minutes of Villa’s 2-1 defeat to Championship side Fulham in the third round of the FA Cup on Saturday, receiving a 5/10 rating from Birmingham Live.
The 29-year-old central-midfielder, who is currently valued at £1.35 million according to TransferMarkt, was the subject of discussion between many Villa fans who were not convinced he offers anything useful to Smith’s side.
Robs a living

Lansbury has been given chances but unfortunately he hasn’t taken them. He didn’t look good in the Championship with Villa and looks even more out of place in the PL. Oddly I actually like his skill set but he just hasn’t been able to use them effectively at this level

Awful player

What do we think?
Given that Lansbury has only made 12 appearances for the club in all competitions so far this season, it’s slightly unfair for Villa fans to write him off. But when he gets given opportunities to shine and leave an impact on the team like against Fulham, he needs to do more.
