Aston Villa fans have been calling for the club to sign Steven Nzonzi during the January transfer window.
This comes after Villa fan Twitter account @villareport shared a post on their page relaying information originally published by The Mirror which states that the club “are eyeing” the former Stoke City midfielder.
Should Villa sign Steven Nzonzi this month?
Yes
No
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Villa fans who were excited by this latest transfer rumour.
Here’s a sample of Villa fans wanting to see Nzonzi sign this month:
Wouldn’t be the worst signing in the world.

The midfielder, who is valued at £12.15 million according to TransferMarkt, is currently on a loan deal at Galatasaray from Roma (per TransferMarkt). With the latest transfer rumour linking the 31-year-old to Villa Park, some Villa fans have been sharing their delight over the potential move on Twitter.

Get him in. Quality player. Would be a brilliant addition.
— Paul Brookes (@Brookesy1986) January 14, 2020
That would be a top signing

Love this if true. An enforcer who puts his foot on it. Him and Vida would be solid addition to a soft centre we currently have. Still priority needs to be strikers

What do we think?
With John McGinn out injured, a move for Nzonzi could make sense in the regard that he would provide cover for the central-midfield position, with previous experience in England too from his time at Blackburn and Stoke.
The idea certainly went down well with the Villa fans, but they will have to wait and see if anything comes from the rumour.
