Rangers were flying on the weekend. The Glaswegian side managed to beat Hearts 5-0 after a great midweek result against Feyenoord. Alfredo Morelos opened the scoring once again with yet another header before Ryan Kent added a second and Christophe Berra scored an own goal to make it three. Then Greg Stewart was substituted on in the 74th minute.
The 29-year-old had an instant and significant impact as he scored a brace with goals in the 80th and 85th minutes. The goals helped contribute to a result that brought Rangers within one goal of being exactly level with Celtic at the top of the league.
Rangers fans were shocked by the player’s impact and insisted that he deserved more game time, having started just three games in the Scottish Premiership. Others called for the winger to start the club’s midweek fixture against Aberdeen. They would quite happily see Scott Arfield or Sheyi Ojo be dropped from the lineup.

I’d play him on the right before Ojo Aribo or Arfeild

Greg Stewart had more than earned his chance to start at Aberdeen over Ojo

Would you start Greg Stewart over Ojo or Arfield
Yes
No
Some fans, while excited to see him play, would prefer to see a fit Jordan Jones. If Jones isn’t ready, however, they would be happy to see Stewart start.
Depends if Jones is fit

Would go with this, hopefully JJ coming off the bench for fitness. pic.twitter.com/NDgfSfjIUr

What do we think?
Stewart, who is valued at £450k (Transfermarkt), was given a chance to prove himself on the weekend and he seized the opportunity. Hopefully, he can help provide some depth to the Rangers lineup in wide areas. One thing is for sure, however. With the title race being as close as it is, those two goals could be a vital contribution to the club’s 55th league title bid.
